HILLARY HITT - YOUR PROGRAM DIRECTOR

For the past 17 years Hillary Hitt has been conducting the Dharma Healing International Fasting Course program on Koh Samui, Thailand. Her work emphasizes transformative inner child healing and rebirthing through the fasting cleansing process.
 
Hillary utilizes Buddhist psychology and philosophy, that is student centered, in teaching and counseling, while guiding students into their inherent potential to heal themselves—all physical, mental and emotional transformations are brought about through the student’s “loving dedication” to heal him/herself..
 
Hillary began her studies in alternative healing practices in 1968 and began teaching, counseling and designing educational programs for individuals and groups started in 1973. Hillary’s loving devotion to her work follows the evolution of her life practice -- incorporating not only fasting but also Iridology, Vibrational Healing, Raw Food Nutrition, Psycho-Spiritual Inquiry, Vipasana Meditation, Buddha Dharma, Various types of Yoga, The Ageless Wisdom tradition, Ascended Masters, Chakra-Qi, Spiritual-Archetypal Astrology, Reflexology and Devotional Exercise such as Swimming, Running, Hiking and Cycling.

ROSY’S LITTLE VILLAGE – Our Venue

Perched above the bright blue Aegean sea on the tiny Greek island of Agistri 45 min by boat from the port of Piraeus-Athens is Rosy’s Little Village. Surrounded by bougainvillea, oleander and sweet-smelling pine trees, this small family-run hotel is the perfect antidote to the stresses and strains of modern life. Peace and tranquility, combined with warm hospitality add up to an ideal getaway. You can rediscover the real Greece, the one you thought had been swamped forever in the rising tide of generic tourism!

Built in the style of a traditional Greek home, Rosy’s very comfortable rooms are simply furnished. All are fully air conditioned and each has a balcony with spectacular views of the nearby island of Aegina. All twinkling lights at nightfall and fiery red sunrise at dawn – a perfect start to the day! A five minute walk will take you to the little port of Skala, with its few small shops and tavernas.
 
With much of Agistri covered by forest, there’s plenty of scope for walking and cycling – bikes are provided free of charge at Rosy’s. There’s also much to see on the neighbouring islands of Aegina, Poros and Hydra, and Athens is only an hour away. Sun loungers are provided on the terraces, and you can swim and snorkel from the hotel’s private cove. Kayaks are available, and sailing and water skiing can be arranged. A boat trip round the island is a great way to see it, stopping off whenever you feel like a swim in the crystal-clear water.
 
Rosy first arrived in Agistri in 1970 with her husband Nondas. We had a generator that we used once a day to power the fridges. At night we used petrol lamps.” Rosy’s Little Village opened in 2003, and Nondas and Rosy have gradually built it up from there. It’s been hard work. Rosy says: “Nondas’ drive and imagination have created it. My vision has always been for the clientele.” And this is all very apparent to visitors, from the uniquely designed and highly individual rooms, to the warm consideration for the needs of their guests. Rosy is firmly committed to the environment and her little venue is the perfect spot for our fast!
